TapExpense 2.0.1 Submitted

We have submitted TapExpense 2.0.1 to Apple to review, and all goes well it should be available on the App Store soon. 2.0.1 fixes a bug in TapExpense 2.0 that caused trouble when you tried to add a new item (category, currency etc.) to a reordered list. Sometimes you wouldn’t be able to select the newly added item, and in some situations the new item’s name would overwrite an existing item’s. No entry data was lost but this caused annoyance.

We have distributed a few ad hoc copies to a number of our customers and we have confirmed that the bug is fixed in 2.0.1. We have also fixed a few typos and made some user interface fine-tuning along the way.

The upgrade is free for all existing users. The Lite version is also upgraded.

Nice! But what about one real major issue: the MISSING cancel button when creating a new entry?? I don’t want to see a 0€ entry every time I accidantely push the “new” button…

Another great thing would be if you could create recurring events (for income e.g.)

Keep on, you have a really nice app with still lots of potential!

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the feedback! We actually debated the placement of the “Add Next” button, and our decision was the put the “Add Next” button on the top right corner.

One possibility, though, is to show “Cancel” button first, and only when the entry is really edited (i.e. anything is changed, especially the amount) does the button becomes “Add Next”. Do you think it’s a better way to do it?

As for the recurring events, yes that’s feature we’re seriously studying. Sorry that it took us that long time to come up with version 2.0, but we’ll speed up the development process and hopefully new features will be considered and added in a more regular dev cycle.

    Thanks again for feedback!
